I love Wraith and Serena. This was a fantastic book. And, although I feel this way every time I finish one of the Demonica books, this is my favorite!! Wraith had seemed like a lost cause since the beginning of the series, but every once in a while there was a glimpse of caring that shone through. In PASSION UNLEASHED we get to see the real Wraith. I loved the changes his character made throughout the book in relation to Serena and his brothers. A new brother is introduced in this book, Lore. I’m not sure how I feel about this new brother, but can’t wait to read his story in ECSTASY UNVEILED.
In a previous review I said that I hoped Kynan and Gem would get their own book. I know this isn’t going to happen, but I have to say that they are one of my favorite couples in all of the books. Something about them is so emotional and raw - I love it!!

Book #2 in the Demonica series is as fantastic as the first. I was very happy to read Shade’s story and love it. I hate when there is a character you really like in one book and when it was there turn to be the main character they aren’t the same as they were before. This didn’t happen with Shade. Although he does come across as a bit of a jerk to Runa, it is just a way of protecting himself. I loved the relationship between Shade and Runa. It was complex, but meant to be. This book also showed more of the relationship between Shade, Wraith, and Eidolon. The only complaint I have, which isn’t really a complaint, is that I wanted more Kynan and Gwen. I’m hoping that these characters will someday have their own book (are at least a HEA).

I am way late to the party on this series, but I’m so glad I finally read it. I actually bought the books last year and they have been setting on my bookcase since. I loved this book. The way Larrisa Ione writes is magical. I was instantly drawn into the story and couldn’t put the book down. Her characters are flawed (and a little evil…they are demons), but vulnerable and lovable also. The back and forth between Tayla and Eidolon is hot. Even in the beginning when they absolutely hate each other there is just something about their bickering that comes across like foreplay. From the very beginning I was rooting for the couple. I especially love the other parts to the story. The small glimpses of the other demons, Eidolon’s brothers and the co-workers at the hospital, helped to the world the book is set in seem real. I especially love Shade and can’t wait to read his book.

A Black Tie Affair
This is a fun contemporary romance and it is obviously the first in a trilogy about the three Smith sisters. (At least I’m hoping so) I loved Athena’s can-do attitude. There wasn’t anything that was going to stop her from getting what she wants. Drew is too good to be true. He is the ultimate prince charming - sexy, rich, and kind (he helps underprivileged kids). They used to be best friends and now they hardly speak to each other. These two shoot sparks off each other from the beginning. The only complaint I have about the book is the story line involving Athena’s father. It isn’t resolved by the end of the book (which is why I’m hoping for more books) and I feel that it should have been since it was part of the issues between Drew and Athena. All in all, A BLACK TIE AFFAIR is a fun, light, romantic read!

I loved this book. It is a little bit of different, but not enough that is seemed odd. Most of the book doesn’t take place in a ballroom (although there is a little party hoping) or the park. The majority of the story takes place within the homes of the two major characters, Gareth and Jenny. I loved all of the characters, especially Gareth and Ned. The relationship between these two characters is very strained, yet you can feel the love between the two of them. Jenny’s occupation is unique and sets her apart from your typical historical heroine. Instead of becoming a rich man’s mistress, she is a psychic. The sparks between Gareth and Jenny are instant and undeniable. My only complaint was that there wasn’t enough Ned. Ned is such an interesting and vulnerable character and I cannot wait until his book comes out. Also, there is a small appearance by William Q White from Ms. Milan’s Christmas novella.
