  1. Just was mentioning to someone else that all I did was hope to sleep through midnight, but some fool a couple houses away set off firecrackers to usher it on in, so I did get to see a few moments or two of Times Square on tv. Then went back to sleep. LOL Am presently watching the Rose Parade, so I guess when it comes to New Year’s traditions, that’s about it! πŸ™‚ The only time I stayed up for midnight was 2000, because, well, you had to and all. πŸ™‚

  2. I just spent a quiet night with one of my daughters and waited for a call from the other before I went to bed. Boring, I know, but sometimes, that’s the way I like it.

  3. Happy New Year!

Much like you we stayed and home and enjoyed ourselves. The weather where I live was atrocious so we decided not to go out. I have to say it was really nice πŸ™‚

  4. I spent the evening with friends, helping my team to victory at a marathon game of Taboo. Gotta do something with all the words I know. πŸ˜‰

  5. We played bridge with friends, had wine AND champagne (which didn’t help the quality of the bridge game much!) and went to bed earlier than New Year’s in our time zone, but after New Year’s in London! :–)

  6. Happy New Year!!!! My husband and I don’t drink so we usually sit home with the kids. We did that this year but with a twist, my husband’s hobby is tattooing, so I sat through the first session of a memorial tattoo for my dad.

  7. Happy New Year! I spent a quiet evening at home watching a couple of films from Netflix. Then watched TV to see the Acorn drop during Raleigh’s First Night celebration. Raleigh is also known as The City of Oaks…hence, the acorn! Went to bed at 1AM.

  8. We stayed home watching television and, although I dozed, I was awake to watch 2010 come in. Happy New Year!
