Review: CATCH OF A LIFETIME by Judi Fennell

SHE’S ON A MISSION TO SAVE THE PLANET…

Mermaid Angel Tritone has been researching humans from afar, hoping to find a way to convince them to stop polluting. When she jumps into a boat to escape a shark attack, it’s her chance to pursue her mission, but she has to keep her identity a total secret…

WHEN HE DISCOVERS HER SECRET< THEY’RE BOTH IN MORTAL DANGER…

For Logan Hardington, finding a beautiful woman on his boat is surely not a problem, especially since her presence helps his relationship with his young, newfound son. But when Logan realizes what she truly is, and the jeopardy his family is in, he doesn’t know whom to trust. Suddenly following his heart has never been more dangerous…

This is the third book in Ms. Fennell’s mer trilogy. I enjoyed this book more than book two, but less than book one. I had trouble getting into the story, and the talking birds (and lizards) bothered me like they did in WILD BLUE UNDER. Logan and Angel make a great couple and Michael is a really sweet little boy. I think that Michael was my favorite character in the book. I loved Angel’s excitement about human things – especially her love of clothes. It reminded me very much of Ariel’s cave of human things in the Disney Little Mermaid.  All in all this was a fun, quick read and I would recommend it for anyone who loved the little mermaid.

the book girl gives CATCH OF A LIFETIME a 3/5
