This is the fourth book in the Sweet series by Ms. Banks and my favorite (I think I say that every time, lol). I’ve been waiting not so patiently for Micah’s book since I first read Sweet Surrender. There is just something about this character that pulled at me and I couldn’t wait to find out what his story was. I wasn’t disappointed at all. Micah left behind his life in Miami when his wife and best friend were killed in a car accident - a fact he hasn’t shared with the people in his life now. So, when Angelina shows up no on understands what’s going on. The fact that he had compartmentalized that part of his life so much showed how upset he was by the past and that he was still running from it, but he couldn’t run with Angel right in front of him. Angel shows him how much she loves him by truly understanding what he needs - maybe even more than he does. I loved these two together. Ms. Banks writes in a way that makes me laugh and cry while writing love scenes that could make a girl blush! Now I need Collin’s book!

Oh - I’ve been looking forward to this one. I liked Micah in previous books and can’t wait to read his story!
I was sooo disappointed in this book. After loving Micah so much in the previous 3 books, he turned out to be such a sleaze……
Bigreader, I can see what you saying, but if you go back to Sweet Surrender, from the beginning, you see the two sides of Micah. In Surrender, the playful bantor with Faith was the”fake” Micah; the Micah in the menage was the real Micah. In Sweet Persu, the Micah at the ballpark was the “fake” Micah and the Micah handing out the belt lashing to Serena was the real Micah, eventhough Damon ordered it. In Sweet Seduction, the playfull bantor with Nathan was the “fake” Micah; the person with the stash was the real Micah. This has all been there from the beginning and we just saw bits and pieces. In this one, we see the real Micah from the beginning; no more hiding. He is not a sleaze, but this is who is really is and Angelina does understand that. No more else does. They are mirror images; he needed someone who was not going to run from him. Now there is no more hiding. I am curious has to his development going forward. I think that there will be two more books in this series (Connor for certain and also Cole) and we will see how she wraps him up.
