From the back of the book:
HE’S AN ELITE NAVY SEAL LIVING A RISKY DOUBLE LIFE.
SHE’S THE GORGEOUS REPORTER HOT ON HIS TRAIL.
Nick Devane’s life is one big classified secret. Until Kaylee Smith busts his covert world wide open, threatening to blow his cover. Digging around where she doesn’t belong could get them both killed - especially when the beautiful journalist uncovers top-secret information that could set off a global disaster if it falls into the wrong hands. Nick can’t let that happen, even if he has to battle deadly mercenaries and an irresistible attraction that is all-consuming.
Kaylee didn’t expect her search for her missing ex-husband to lead to this sexy and dangerous warrior. Now she’s teamed up with Nick on a mission that takes them into deepest Africa - and into the middle of a massive government cover-up. With rogue agents hot on their trail, Kaylee’s going to unearth all Nick’s secrets. Before they both vanish without a trace. Before the passion burning between them sets off an explosion no one may survive…
Stephanie Tyler can write some very hot heroes! Nick is my favorite so far. There is a real depth to his character and it added so much to the story. For me his background made all the difference in the character and story. Kaylee is one tough chick and the perfect woman for Nick. I can’t really think of anything in this book that didn’t work for me!

He Gets Crankier and Crankier as the Moon Gets Full…
The rules of Society can be beastly - especially when you’re a werewolf and it’s that irritating time of the month. Simon Westfield, the Duke of Blackmore, is rich, powerful, and sinfully handsome, and has spent his entire life creating scandal and mayhem. It doesn’t help his wolfish temper at all that Miss Lily Rutledge seems not the least bit afraid of him, and in fact, may be as untamable as he is…
A Woman Whose Charm is Stronger Than the Moon…
When Lily’s beloved nephew’s behavior becomes inexplicably wild, she turns to Simon, the boy’s cousin and guardian, for help. But Simon’s idea of assistance is far different than hers, and Lily finds herself ensconced in his house and engaged to the rogue.
They both may have bitten off more than they can chew when each begins to discover the other’s darkest secrets…
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started this book. Given the title I thought there would be a lot of Wolf-y stuff and while there is some it isn’t as much as I thought. Simon is a were-wolf, but not in the pack-loving paranormal way. He is a loner, except for his brothers. I really enjoyed reading a different kind of paranormal romance and liked the way the author handled the “change” that Simon went through. The romance of the story was flawless too. I liked how drawn to each other Simon and Lily were and how they tried to fight being together. The emotion behind Simon’s refusal to share all of himself with her was real and moving. A fantastic beginning to what will hopefully be a great series.

From the back of the book:
In the two decades since a tragic “accident” took the lives of his parents, Oliver Sharpe, the Marquess of Stoneville, has survived the scandal surrounding that fateful night by living as an unrepentant rakehell. And with his grandmother vowing to disinherit him if he doesn’t settle down and wed, he plans to fulfill the bargain in true Sharpe style - by bringing home a fake fiancee from a brothel! But his scheme is derailed when he rescues an American beauty in a dire predicament instead. Maria Butterfield came to London to track down her groom-to-be, who’s gone missing, but her engagement won’t stop Oliver from getting what he wants: her, in his bed. His rebellious masquerade may call his grandmother’s bluff, but it’s soon made all to real - by a love that tempts him to be a hellion no more.
Sabrina Jeffries is one of my favorite historical authors. THE TRUTH ABOUT LORD STONEVILLE is fantastic and a great beginning to a new series. Oliver and Maria are a fantastic couple with plenty of chemistry. I especially loved how stubborn and defiant Oliver tried to be with his grandmother. Not wanting to let her rule his life, but still loving her. Maria was different. She was stronger than the usual heroine and doesn’t let anyone stand in her way. I really liked that about her. My only complaint about the book was the plot line with Maria’s fiancé. It felt forced and not realistic. If Maria had been in love with her fiancé, nothing Oliver did would have made her change her mind. It worked as a reason for Maria to be in England, but it went on a bit long for me. I was more interested in what was happening between Oliver and Maria.

Impossible boss + prim assistant = a whole lot of sparks!
You know when you meet the most gorgeous guy and get butterflies in your stomach? Well, that’s what it felt like the first time I, Summer Curtis, laid eyes on my movie-star-gorgeous boss Phin Gibson. I was starstruck!
I’ve got to get a grip! Phin might be delicious, but he’s always late, totally disorganized - my complete opposite! But somehow he’s making me, the oh-so-sensible Summer, want to let down my perfectly pinned-up hair!
Normally I don’t review the Harlequin series books that I read, but this one was fantastic. It is part of a mini-series “The Fun Factor” and is written in first person. I can’t remember the last first person series book I read. I did miss getting to hear Phin’s point-of-view, but the book was written in a way that his actions revealed so much of what he was thinking and feeling. I loved the plot of this book. Phin and Summer pretend to be a couple so that she can make an old boyfriend jealous and he can get an ex-girlfriend to leave him alone. Of course, the pretending becomes all to real for both of them. This is a fantastically fun and quick read!

From the back of the book:
She thinks she’s Lois Lane…
Susan Collins always wanted to be a hard-hitting reporter, but there’s not much call for her talents in sleepy Glory, North Carolina. Then the Murder Mystery Club - a trio of enterprising octogenarians - decides to open their own CSI lab at the assisted-living center. And when strange “accidents” begin to happen around town, Susan senses she could be on to the news story of her dreams.
He doesn’t want to be her Superman…
Mark Tremayne has returned to Glory to take over as CFO of The Glory Examiner. His job is to keep the newspaper profitable, which means covering the annual Baptist Church Bake-Off and selling ads for the county fair - not allowing his too-sexy-for-her-own-good reporter to hare off after a wild story that could alienate some of the townspeople.
Together…they’re Kryptonite.
Mark’s and Susan’s viewpoints could be from different planets, but their mutual attraction is in total alignment. Despite their arguments, the indomitable redhead and the hot accountant are a sexual explosion waiting to happen. And when it does, Glory had better watch out!
This is the second book in the “Glory” series. I really liked the first book - TALK OF THE TOWN - but there was something missing in this one for me. I never could get into the story or Mark and Susan as a couple. There was something about the two of them that didn’t work for me, but I still can’t put my finger on what it was. I think I needed more attraction between the two of them. We are told over and over how attracted they are to each other, but to me it felt forced.
With any review it is best to remember that it is just the reviewer’s opinion. Lately I’ve gotten some “hate” mail about some of my reviews and a couple emails about how all of my reviews are too nice. The truth is I only read books that I hope I will enjoy - so most books get a good review from me. This book in particular didn’t work for me right now, but that doesn’t mean that if I re-read it in a year I won’t love it. I really hope that if the small-town contemporary romance is something you enjoy that you will give this book a chance.
