Hadn’t heard of this book until now but it sounds intriguing — just might have to buy it for my daughter which means I get to read it also!
I haven’t, but that’s an interesting video….
This is a highly praised YA steampunk book. I actually picked it up today. I loved The Iron Duke so much that I didn’t want to leave the steampunk genre! =)
I haven’t, but it looks very interesting 🙂
My husband actually just finished it in about two sittings because he liked it so much. I really enjoyed the writing as well, but didn’t finish it nearly as quickly.
It is excellent! Westerfeld proved to be great at making a cool world (his “Uglies” series), and this one is no exception. I really enjoyed having the Darwinist vs. Clankers setup and can’t wait to read the sequel, “Behemoth”. Will Deryn ever reveal she’s a girl, especially since she’s traveling with Alek? I’m also looking forward to finding out more about the blended technologies of the Ottoman Empire. Plus, the artwork is awesome.
