Review: EVERYTHING I KNOW ABOUT LOVE I LEARNED FROM ROMANCE NOVELS by Sarah Wendell

Take a dashing hero with a heart of gold and a mullet of awesome. Add a heroine with a bustle and the will to kick major butt. Then include enough contrivances to keep them fighting while getting them alone and possibly without key pieces of clothing, and what do you have? A romance novel. What else? Enough lessons about love, life, and everything in between to guarantee your own happily-ever-after.

EVERYTHING I KNOW ABOUT LOVE I LEARNED FROM ROMANCE NOVELS is a delightful read. Chapters include: We Know More Than a Few Good Men, We Know What Not to Want, We Know Good Sex, and more. Each chapter has quotes from readers and writers and snippets from some of the best loved romance novels. I enjoyed the style of writing – it’s humorous and entertaining. The topics are well thought out and there were several places I felt a little light-bulb go off and my head nod in agreement to some of the things said both by the author and by the readers quoted. I think this would be a perfect holiday gift for anyone that loves romance novels. I’ve already bought three to give to my Mom, Sister-in-Law, and Grandmother.

the book girl gives EVERYTHING I KNOW ABOUT LOVE I LEARNED FROM ROMANCE NOVELS a 5/5

  1. I was waiting to read a couple reviews…but it sounds like I need to move this to my ‘to buy’ list!
