Review: A LADY’S REVENGE by Tracey Devlyn

About the book:

In a daring rescue, beautiful and wily secret operative Cora deBeau is reunited with her childhood friend Guy Trevelyan, who wants so much more from her now than friendship…

But Cor’s mission against the French has become personal, and the thought of revenge is driving her relentlessly. Even the fire between her and Guy won’t deter her. Except Guy isn’t going to allow Cora to break free of him. He’s going to stoke that fire until they both go up in flames…

I really enjoyed this historical romance. It is very different from a typical regency romance. Cora is a hardcore spy and she has been tortured beyond recognition when Guy rescues her from a¬†French dungeon. They are followed back to England and must work together to keep Cora, Guy, and their love ones safe. I loved the intrigue and suspense of the book. Cora and Guy’s feelings for each other are evident from the very beginning, but Cora doesn’t believe herself worthy of Guy’s love. Her time in France changed the way she viewed herself. Guy has to work to make her realize that he loves her for who she is, not what she has done. A LADY’S REVENGE is wildly romantic, quick paced, and entertaining from beginning to end.

the book girl gives A LADY’S REVENGE a 5/5
