About the book:

“Why would you decide to seduce me? And why now after all these years?”

Southern debutante Vivienne LaBlanc can’t believe bad-boy rock star Connor Mansfield is back in town for the New Orleans annual Saints and Sinners pageant. He has a reputation as wicked as his devilish smile, and Vivi has no intention of becoming one of his latest groupies!

He once crushed her high school heart, so playing the saint to Connor’s sinner should be easy. But how can Vivi get those less than angelic thoughts out of her head—especially when Connor’s so good at tempting her to be bad?

This was my first Harlequin Kiss book and I really enjoyed the story. From the very beginning there are fireworks between Vivi and Connor. Of course, most of those fireworks come in the form of them fighting with each other. I loved the tension between the two of them. The author wrote it in such a way that their arguing wasn’t annoying at all – in fact, it was sexy at times. Both Connor and Vivi have opinions of each other that have been forming since they were young and they both have to work to realize that each other may have changed as adults. Vivi and Connor are the perfect combination of good girl and bad boy. Their love story is romantic, sexy, and fun. I can’t wait for Vivi’s sister’s story – THE TAMING OF A WILD CHILD –  next month!

the book girl gives THE DOWNFALL OF A GOOD GIRL a 4/5
