In the wilds of Oklahoma, three sisters have a date with destiny…

Bound: When Valerie left for the big city, she kissed her foreman husband goodbye-along with the best sex she ever had. Now, seeing him brings back sizzling memories.

Branded: Watching Gage wrangle untamed horses leaves Brea hot and bothered. But can she live out her fantasy with a man who may ask for more than she’s willing to give?

Brazen: Ranch hand Walker Morgan can’t afford to get too close to his new boss, Jolene, no matter how she tempts him. But Jolene’s prepared to take the first step.

As an Oklahoman I am usually leery about books that take place in my home state. I have read a few that bordered on insulting. But, Jaci Burton writes fantastic Oklahoma cowboys!! I totally fell in love with all of the residents on the ranch. Each sister’s story moves fast and gets right to the heart of the matter - love (and some really HOT sex). If I had to pick a favorite story it would be BRANDED. I loved how Brea emerged from her cocoon which just a little attention from a sexy man. This is a fantastic anthology!!

Raw, animal magnetism…

…is a big red flag to prim and proper office manager Jane Morgan. After a rough childhood with a mother who liked her men in prison-jumpsuit orange, Jane changed her name, her look and her taste for bad boys. So why is she lusting for William Chase with his tattoo-covered biceps and steel-toed boots? The man blows things up for a living!

She fives herself one explosive, fantasy-filled night with Chase. The next day it’s back to plain Jane and safe men.

But when her beloved brother becomes a murder suspect, it’s Chase who comes to her rescue. And Jane discovers that a man who’s been around the block knows a thing or two about uncovering the truth.

I love Victoria Dahl’s books. I have loved every one of them I have read (and I’ve read them all). There is something about the way she writes that makes me all emotional and LEAD ME ON was no different. I loved Jane and hew sad past. Jane is a woman so afraid of becoming her mother she suppresses everything that makes her who she is.  Chase is so yummy and sweet. He knows that there is more to Jane from the moment he sees her and is willing to work to make her realize that the “real” Jane is perfect. A perfect contemporary romance for anyone who loves hunky heroes and damaged heroines.

Drew Black, president of the SBC fighting organization, is as controversial as they come. But this hotheaded entrepreneur is a perfect match for his popular club venture: uncompromising and extreme. With a reputation for saying what he thinks, Drew’s been causing a lot of friction. That’s why someones been called in to clean up his image - before he does any permanent damage.

The lucky lady is Gillian Noode, a PR expert who has smoothed out the rough edges on many a man. But Drew is rougher than anyone she’s ever met, and he refuses to change for any woman, for any reason. To make matters more complicated, Gillian’s starting to like him raw. Now opposites aren’t simply attraction - they’re igniting. But in the rising heat, who will end up on top?

I have been in love with Lori Foster’s SBC fighters since the very first book. I was even one of the few who enjoyed MY MAN MICHAEL. This book (which I’ve heard is the last in the series) was almost perfect. My only complaint (and it’s not really a complaint) was that I liked the secondary couple (Brett and Audrey) more than Drew and Gillian. Their relationship was more what I look for in a romance. I was a little turned off by how quickly Gillian fell into bed with Drew, but thought it matched how the characters were written. The conflict of the book - the WAVS and a mystery persons vendetta against Drew - fit into the romance perfectly. The conflict doesn’t take away from the romance. I was completely pleased with this book and can’t wait to read more by Lori Foster.

Daisy Flattery is a free spirit with a soft spot for strays and a weakness for a good story. Why else would she agree to the outrageous charade offered by her buttoned-down workaholic neighbor, Linc Blaise? The history professor needs to have a fiancee in order to capture his dream job, and Daisy is game to play the role. But something funny happens on their way to the altar that changes everything. Now, with the proverbial midnight hour approaching, will Daisy lose her prince, or will opposites not only attract but live happily ever after?

This book is a fun romance with some very emotional moments. Daisy is a free spirit and Linc is a stick-in-the-mud professor. These two are the ultimate opposites attract. They have nothing in common and don’t even like each other in the beginning. I loved all the little positive ways that they change each other and hated all of the major ways Daisy changed herself to please Linc. I loved the moral of this “fairy-tale” : Be careful what you wish for. Linc and Daisy both thought they knew what they wanted out of life until they started getting it and it started changing them. Life is about who you are and who you love not what you do for a living or how other people see you. The only thing I didn’t care for in the book was Linc’s attitude. At times I wanted to slap the man! Daisy was so sweet and loving and he wanted her to be someone else. But he redeemed himself in the end!

T.J. Wilder is the perfect package of breathtaking adventure and raw sex appeal. Even better, he’s about to reconnect with the one woman he’s never been able to forget…

GET YOUR PULSE RACING

To Harley, the landscape around Wishful, California, is exhilarating, untamed, and more than a little dangerous. The same could be said for T.J. Wilder, who’s invited himself along on her trek to study a rare coyote. Harley’s career is riding on this trip, and she doesn’t need a stubborn, incredibly sexy distraction. But T.J. is a professional guide who knows when to stay back and when to provide invaluable expertise - just like he’s done since the were in high school. And Harley, as usual, is torn between throttling him and giving in to the raw attraction that’s been smoldering all these years.

T.J. knows how proud and capable Harley is, but he’s damned sure not letting her put herself at risk when there are illegal hunters in the area. She needs him, with the same soul-stirring urgency that he’s always craved her. And here, in this beautiful place days from civilization, he’ll finally have a chance to prove it - over and over again…

I am a huge Jill Shalvis fan and her books never disappoint. Instant Temptation is the final book in the Wilder brothers trilogy. I was so excited to finally find out why T.J. and Harley acted the way they had in previous books. These two characters have so much chemistry with each other, even if one of them wishes it wasn’t so. I loved how protective of Harley T.J. was, while understanding her need to take care of herself. This was a perfect ending to the trilogy. Each of the characters from the previous books has a role in this one and the reader gets to revisit the relationships that were started in those books. I was so happy to read the conclusion with everyone getting their happy ending.

Department of Justice agent Shadoe Grayson is out to prove she’s no rookie, and eagerly accepts her first undercover assignment at a strip club in New Orleans. Working with the Wild Riders, a government agency of bad-boy bikers, her goal is to expose a corrupt DEA agent. All she has to do is learn to strip like a pro…

TAKING IT OFF…

Standing in her way is arrogant and smoking-hot Spencer King, her new partner and one of the Wild Riders. Spence thinks she looks more like a schoolteacher than a stripper, and doubts her ability to do the job. But when he teasingly challenges Shadoe to strip just for him, he finds out there’s more to the surprisingly sexy agent than by-the-book rules and Government issue pantsuits.

Now Spencer has to resist his baser instincts while Shadoe learns that taking off your clothes doesn’t always equal losing control..

I love the Wild Riders. These sexy men on bikes are some of my favorite heroes. Each book I read I fall in love with the hero, and Spencer was no exception. From the first sarcastic word out of his mouth I was hooked. Shadoe is the perfect girl for him - tough and vulnerable at the same time. It was a treat to read how these two characters fell in love. Posing as a stripper and her bodyguard they work together to find a rogue agent who is smuggling drugs into the country. The scenes with AJ and Pax at the strip club had me laughing out loud. This is a perfect romance with a bad boy, a not-so-good girl, and some really hot sex.

SUITED FOR SEDUCTION

Fashion curator Athena Smith will do anything to get her perfectly manicured hands on the Clayworth family’s celebrated couture collection for her exhibit. So when she’s called in to make sure the gowns are the read deal, she’s ecstatic…until a dress she’s examining turns out to be loaded with toxins (talk about killer threads!) and Athena faints, only to wake up face-to-face with the One That Got Away, notorious Chicago bachelor Drew Clayworth.

Drew still believes Athena betrayed him all those years ago, and he’s sure he can’t trust her. But when the priceless gowns go missing, she offers to help track them down. Reluctantly allied in the quest, Drew and Athena are soon stunned by the barely restrained passion still sizzling between them…and memories both bitter and sweet. Is their new partnership just a business arrangement? Or is this something more than…

A Black Tie Affair

This is a fun contemporary romance and it is obviously the first in a trilogy about the three Smith sisters. (At least I’m hoping so) I loved Athena’s can-do attitude. There wasn’t anything that was going to stop her from getting what she wants. Drew is too good to be true. He is the ultimate prince charming - sexy, rich, and kind (he helps underprivileged kids). They used to be best friends and now they hardly speak to each other. These two shoot sparks off each other from the beginning. The only complaint I have about the book is the story line involving Athena’s father. It isn’t resolved by the end of the book (which is why I’m hoping for more books) and I feel that it should have been since it was part of the issues between Drew and Athena. All in all, A BLACK TIE AFFAIR is a fun, light, romantic read!

What could be more fun than a game between friends - or lovers? In these four sexy stories of mixed-up couples and mistaken identities, it’s not about winning but how much you like to play.

Includes a brand-new novella featuring Hart Winston, whose switch with his hot identical-twin brother has one woman calling foul play. You can bet that in the game of love no one is going to follow the rules…

This anthology features stories by Lori Foster, Deidre Martin, Elizabeth Bevarly, and Christie Ridgway. I enjoyed the stories by Lori Foster and Deidre Martin, but didn’t care for the other two. The Foster story, Hart and Soul, features one of the Winston cousins. I just love those Winston boys. The Martin story features her New York Blades hockey team. I have enjoyed all of the previous stories in this series and loved that this one mainly took place within the O’Brian’s pub. The other two stories fell flat for me. The Bevarly story, Double Booked, is about two acquaintances who are booked into the same condo during their vacations. I just couldn’t get into the fact that two people who disliked each other so much in the beginning could fall in love so fast. The Ridgway story, Original Zin, was okay but I think it would have worked better as a longer story.

THE DOCTOR IS IN DEEP

Wishful, California, is 3000 miles from Dr. Emma Sinclair’s last job in a New York City ER. IT may aw well be another galaxy. Here, running her father’s clinic for a summer, Emma treats bee stings, stomach flu, and the occasional pet cat. Plus, she has to contend with patients like Stone Wilder: gorgeous, laid-back, and irritating beyond belief. The man laughs at her. A lot. And Emma loathes him. All except that tiny part of her that wants to throw him on her examining table and break every doctor-patient rule in the book…

When Stone tries to help Emma learn to loosen up a bit, he pictures white-water rafting or scenic mountain hikes. Not a mind-blowing affair that shakes them both to the core. Emma’s sure she has no place in a town like Wishful, but Stone knows different. Emma belongs here - in this town, in his life. And convincing this strong-minded, stubborn, sexy woman of that fact will be a challenge no Wilder man could resist…

I love Jill Shalvis, everything the woman writes is perfect. I bought Instant Gratification when it came out and then lost it. Last week when I was cleaning and setting up my new desk I found the book. I immediately started reading it and read the whole thing during an extremely long doctors appointment. I found it fitting that I was reading a book about a doctor while at the doctor. Emma is my kind of girl. She doesn’t like the outdoors and is lost without take-out. She is transplanted into the middle of nowhere and cannot wait to get out, until she meets Stone. Stone is a manly man, who also has a sensitive side and helps those around him without taking any credit for it. I loved both characters and their combative relationship is both funny and sweet.  I especially like how he tries to make her relax and love the scene where he writes her instructions on how to relax step-by-step.  There is an appearance by TJ, Stone’s brother, and I can’t wait to read his story. Instant Gratification is a fantastic book!

ONE STUBBORN COWBOY WHO’S MORE THAN WILLING TO CROSS HORNS

When single dad Griffin Luckadeau thinks his new neighbor is scheming to steal his ranch out from under him to benefit her own daughter, sparks really begin to fly…

ONE HOTHEADED SCHOOLTEACHER WHO DOESN’T TAKE GUFF FROM ANYBODY

Julie Donovan moves to town, determined to leave her troubles behind. As soon as she meets the absolutely infuriating, oh-so-sexy cowboy next door, things quickly go from bad to worse…

Until these two Texas hotheads admit that it’s fate that brought them together, running from the inevitable is only going to bring them a double dose of miserable…

This is the third book in the Lucky series by Carolyn Brown and by far my favorite. I loved Griffin and Julie. They were both such strong personalities that it was fantastic to read the way they rubbed each other wrong - and right. The writing in this book seemed to move flawlessly and I was immediately drawn into the story. The problems the couple had to overcome seemed realistic and were handled in way that seemed genuine. I loved the children and hope that someday Ms. Brown writes a follow-up book with Lizzie, Annie, or Chuck.
