Whatcha Reading Wednesday

9781426897344_p0_v4_s260x420I’m participating in NaNoWriMo (more specifically the Entangled Smackdown through SavvyAuthors.com). This means I’m writing and not reading as much this month! I have been reading during the car rider line every day and right before bed. I will still finish at least a few books a week probably during November. Right now I’m reading SNOWBOUND WITH THE CEO by Shannon Stacey. I started it last night and stayed up past my bedtime reading. I love her style of writing and this book is no exception.

I’m reading SINS OF A WICKED PRINCESS by Anna Randol. I started it last night and fell asleep reading (I hit myself in the face with my kindle, lol). I’ve loved Ian since the first book in the series and I can’t wait till he falls head over heels in love with his princess. It’s a rainy day here and I’m hoping for some reading time this afternoon!

What are you reading this week?

About SINS OF A WICKED PRINCESS:

In the scorching finale of Anna Randol’s wickedly tempting Trio series, the Wraith takes on a mission— and a princess— he’ll never forget . . .

Ian Maddox, aka the Wraith, is happy to leave his life as a spy— as soon as he discovers who’s been trying to kill his friends. All clues lead him to the bedroom of an exiled princess. Yet Princess Juliana isn’t the simpering royal he expects, and this irresistible beauty agrees to give him the information he seeks . . . for a price.

Princess Juliana has never cowered—not even as she fled her burning castle in the midst of a rebellion—so she won’t tremble before the darkly charismatic man who appears in her bedchamber and holds a knife to her throat. Instead, she bargains with the infamous spy to help her retrieve sensitive documents and restore her kingdom. But Juliana quickly finds that Ian is no humble servant, and she never imagines that lessons in thievery will lead to schooling in seduction.

I finished THE SUM OF ALL KISSES by Julia Quinn last night. It was fantastic! Today I’m going to start THE WICKED WALLFLOWER by Maya Rodale. I adored her last series and can’t wait to start this one.

What are you reading this week?

About THE WICKED WALLFLOWER (which you can pre-order for $4.74 on Kindle):

Maya Rodale’s captivating new series introduces London’s Least Likely—three wallflowers who are about to become the toast of the ton . . .

Lady Emma Avery has accidentally announced her engagement—to the most eligible man in England. As soon as it’s discovered that Emma has never actually met the infamously attractive Duke of Ashbrooke, she’ll no longer be a wallflower; she’ll be a laughingstock. And then Ashbrooke does something Emma never expected. He plays along with her charade.

A temporary betrothal to the irreproachable Lady Avery could be just the thing to repair Ashbrooke’s tattered reputation. Seducing her is simply a bonus. And then Emma does what he never expected: she refuses his advances. It’s unprecedented. Inconceivable. Quite damnably alluring.

London’s Least Likely to Misbehave has aroused the curiosity—among other things—of London’s most notorious rogue. Now nothing will suffice but to uncover Emma’s wanton side and prove there’s nothing so satisfying as two perfect strangers . . . being perfectly scandalous together.

9781101623558_p0_v2_s260x420I’m reading THE WRONG BILLIONAIRE’S BED by Jessica Clare and loving the tension between Reese and Audrey. It is fantastic! I’m about 25% through the book and hoping to get some serious reading time in this afternoon!

What are you reading this week?

About the book:

The Billionaire Boys Club is a secret society of six men who have
vowed success–at any cost. Not all of them are old money, but all of
them are incredibly wealthy. They’re just not always as successful when
it comes to love…

Audrey Petty’s always been the
responsible one. The good twin.  Successful, dependable, and
trustworthy–that’s Audrey. She’d be the perfect girlfriend for her
childhood crush, billionaire Cade Archer…except that she’s pretty sure
she’s not even on his radar. But when fate (and her chaotic twin) come
together, Audrey finds out that she’ll be spending the next month with
Cade at his remote cabin retreat. It’s a dream come true…

Until she meets her worst nightmare.

Billionaire playboy Reese Durham is used to seducing women to get what
he wants. But when stiff, too-proper Audrey bursts into the private
mountain lodge and scares his companion out the door, it’s time for a
little revenge. It’s clear that Audrey’s in love with his buddy,
Cade…and it’s clear to Reese that blackmailing Audrey with this
information can get her to agree to just about anything. Like furtive
kisses in the dark, or a secret rendezvous in the woods. Audrey may
think she knows what she wants, but Reese is determined to show her what
she needs.

And as Reese discovers the volatile minx behind the buttoned-up exterior, he starts to think maybe she’s just what he needs, too.

I’m reading SUMMER IS FOR LOVERS by Jennifer McQuiston. I loved her first book WHAT HAPPENS IN SCOTLAND, but I’m having a hard time getting into this one. I’m hoping that it’s just a slow starter and that it will pick up quickly.

What are you reading this week?

About the book:

His heart is unavailable. Luckily, her interest lies in the rest of him . . .

Though she was just a girl when they first met, Caroline Tolbertson’s infatuation with David Cameron remains undimmed. Now fate has brought the handsome Scotsman back to Brighton for what promises to be an unforgettable summer. Soon, Caroline will have to choose a husband, but for now she is free to indulge her curiosity in things of a passionate nature.

That is, if David will agree to teach her.

Past mistakes have convinced David he’ll make a terrible husband, though he’ll gladly help the unconventional Caroline find a suitor. Unfortunately, she has something more scandalous in mind. As the contenders for her hand begin to line up, her future seems assured . . . provided David can do the honorable thing and let them have her.

When a spirited young woman is determined to break Society’s rules, all a gentleman can do is lend a hand . . . or more.

Whatcha Reading Wednesday

I’m going out-of-town for the next few days with my Mom so I’m in panic mode trying to get everything organized for my husband and the kids. It’s amazing just how much I do without really thinking about it to get them to school and their various activities. When it comes to writing it down the list is very long. In between packing and list-making for my husband I’ve been reading NEVER DESIRE A DUKE by Lily Dalton. I’m loving Sophia and Vane so far and hope to get some reading in during my trip.
