What a ride! This is a fantastic romantic suspense. I’ve never read a book featuring Pararescuemen and found the whole team fascinating. There is a lot of heat in this book amid the snowy setting. Brick and Sunny are very well matched. They both have great survival instincts and worked as a team rather that the hero leading the way. The mystery is intriguing and the villain sufficiently evil. I think if you are a fan of Suzanne Brockmann this book is a must read!

After a slow and somewhat awkward beginning, I really enjoyed reading this book. I loved how at the beginning of every chapter there was a “man law” that Vic couldn’t help but break. The chemistry between Vic and Gina is fantastic, and I loved the way he interacted with her children. The suspense is high and the action is very fast paced. The writing is very emotional at times. There is one scene in the book that had me in tears. At other times the writing is very sexy and funny. I can’t wait to get more stories about the guys Vic works with and hopefully a glimpse at Vic and Gina’s happily ever after.

BEG FOR MERCY is heart-stoppingly fantastic! I really liked this book. Megan and Cole have a tumultuous relationship, but when it comes down to it they are it for each other. I loved Megan’s fight for her brother, Sean. She wouldn’t give up trying to prove his innocence - even though all evidence pointed against him. The suspense is high and the plot is full of twists and turns. I couldn’t put the book down. When reading suspense, I try to read during the day. I have a highly suggestive subconscious and if I’m reading or watching anything suspenseful it finds its way into my dreams. I couldn’t stop reading BEG FOR MERCY and ended up finishing the book at one in the morning. (I watched some cartoons before going to sleep to clear my mind) If you are a fan of romantic suspense this is a must read!

I try not to put stories about my kids on this blog, but this book was the basis for a cute kid story. I was reading and my son, whose 8, asked what the book was about. I was enthralled in the story and just said it was about a serial killer. My son then asked (with a completely straight face) why someone would kill cereal! Ha, Ha!

WHEN YOU DARE is a sexy, adventurous ride. I really love this book. Dare is the ultimate alpha. He is sexy, strong, and protective. After rescuing a friends sister from human traffickers, Dare also rescues an unconscious woman. I love that his code of honor wouldn’t let him leave her or dump her as soon as he could. He wants to take care of her no matter what even though he didn’t know her. Molly was a little harder  for me to understand. Her strength after being held captive and the fact that she doesn’t break down was a little harder to relate to. I know that I would have been a wreck and I wanted her to show a little more vulnerability. However, the character stays true to her personality through the whole story. She has little cracks in her armor, that  make her seem a little more human. I would have had a harder time if she had turned into a blumbering idiot halfway through the book after being so strong in the beginning. The tension and romance between Dare and Molly is perfect. Their relationship developes at a quick rate, but it doesn’t feel rushed. I loved every word of this book. I can’t wait to read Dare’s friend Trace’s book - TRACE OF FEVER. (I would be reading it now if NetGalley would get their stinking Kindle button fixed, lol)

The third book in the SSD series is more character driven than the previous two. I felt like, even though there is a crime being investigated, that DEADLY LIES is mostly about Sam. Sam has to work to overcome the trauma that she faced in DEADLY FEAR and is barely holding on when DEADLY LIES begins. After the previous two book featuring the highly capable members of the SSD and Sam being a secondary character, I was very glad that we got her story. Max is a very complicated character and at times I felt he was a little too much for Sam, but in the end I was sure that they were right for each other. DEADLY LIES is full of twists, turns, and lies…a perfect romantic suspense.

This is the second book in the SSD series by Cynthia Eden. I really enjoyed DEADLY HEAT. The suspense is great and done in a way that keeps the reader interested. The plot is simple and there aren’t many twists and turns to take away from the story. Kenton Lake and Lora Spade are very complimentary characters. They are both tough and stubborn, but with a more sensitive side that they don’t show many people. This couple fits almost from the first page. I really enjoyed the way their relationship developed amid all of the chaos caused by the series arsonist. The book is perfect for any fan of romantic suspense where the romance plays a very large part of the story.

EDGE OF SIGHT is a perfect romantic suspense. From the first pages I was hooked and literally couldn’t put the book down. I stayed up past 3am just to finish the book! Sam and Zach are fantastic characters. Zach is a veteran who was injured and is still coming to terms with what has happened to him. He is simply amazing. Even though he doesn’t want to help Sam, because he still has feelings for her, he does what he must to keep her save. He is very alpha, but he still lets Sam have her opinions and lets her do things the way she wants to sometimes. Sam is feisty. Due to something that happened in her past, she has trouble trusting her gut. I loved how  Zach helps her grow and learn to trust herself again. In return Sam helps Zach regain something that he lost when he was injured. These two had quite a history and it wasn’t all good. I am a sucker for the rekindled romance plot and loved the way Sam and Zach find each other again. EDGE OF SIGHT is full of suspense and action. There were several scenes where my heart was pounding and I was holding my breath.

One of the things that makes EDGE OF SIGHT so great is the family aspect. I loved all of the Rossi’s, especially Nino. I can’t wait to read more books in the Guardian Angelinos series.
